Veteran Ghanaian actress and film producer Selassie Ibrahim is mourning the painful loss of her husband, former Agriculture Minister and Member of Parliament, Ibrahim Adam.
Ibrahim Adam reportedly passed away in the early hours of Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC), where he was receiving medical treatment. The actress took to Instagram to express her grief, sharing photographs of herself and her late husband and describing the loss as devastating.

“Rest well… our hearts are broken beyond words. Your legacy lives on,” she wrote in an emotional tribute.
Ibrahim Adam was a prominent figure in Ghanaian public life. He served as Minister for Food and Agriculture and later represented the Choggu/Tishigu constituency in Parliament.
The couple were married and had two children, a son and a daughter. His remains are expected to be transported from Accra to Tamale for burial in accordance with Islamic rites.
News of his passing has triggered an outpouring of condolences from colleagues, friends, fans and other personalities who have expressed support for Selassie Ibrahim and her family during this difficult period.
